Technical support will include design, test, implementation, deployment and support of new IT baselines, provide specialized troubleshooting and explore new technologies, in the areas of Infrastructure, Platform, Authentication, Web hosting, cyber hygiene and Remote Desktop solutions. /ppThe detailed duties of the post are listed below: /pulliProvide professional and technical contributions to the design, development and execution of DCIS engineering projects. /liliContribute and participate in a Development-Operations (DevOps) environment using concepts like continuous integration, continuous change management, deployment automation and system monitoring. /liliSupport junior staff with incident management, service request and problem management processes as the senior engineer and ultimate problem solver. /liliProvide DCIS engineering support to technically plan and execute NATO approved exercises, either on-site or from remote. /liliDocumenting designs and implementations of assigned services as well as troubleshooting guides. /liliPlan, schedule, participate and lead technical support teams in support of projects and exercises. /liliProvide on the job training when necessary in order to maintain highly skilled and trained technical support for the Service Line. /liliDeputize for higher grade staff. /liliPerforms other duties as may be required. /li /ulh3Skill, Knowledge Experience /h3ulliThe candidate must have a currently active NATO COSMIC TOP SECRET security clearance. /liliA minimum requirement of a Bachelor's degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related discipline and 2 years post-related experience. /liliAlternatively, exceptionally, the lack of a university degree may be compensated by the demonstration of a candidate's particular abilities or experience that is/are of interest to NCI Agency, that is, at least 6 years extensive and progressive expertise in duties related to the function of the post. /liliAt least 5 years' experience supporting and implementing in deployable or large enterprise environments of centralized storage systems based on FC, iSCSI, SAS or Hyper converged technology like vSAN. /liliAt least 5 years' experience supporting and implementing in deployable or large enterprise environments of recent Virtualization Technologies based on VMWare ESXi and Virtual Centre. /liliAt least 5 years' experience supporting and implementing in deployable or large enterprise environments of recent Microsoft Windows Server or Redhat Linux Operating Systems. /liliAt least 5 years' experience supporting and implementing in deployable or large enterprise environments of expert Directory, Identity and Access Management consisting of multiple interconnected and federated Active Directory Domains and Forests. /liliAt least 5 years' experience supporting and implementing in deployable or large enterprise environments of expert DNS resolution, server hardening, AD troubleshooting and GPO development. /liliAt least 5 years' experience supporting and implementing in deployable or large enterprise environments of Microsoft Remote Desktop solutions, or related Application provisioning technology. /liliAt least 5 years' experience supporting and implementing in deployable or large enterprise environments of High Availability Systems (i.e. Fail-over clustering, Database Availability Groups, stretched clusters, etc). /liliAt least 5 years' experience supporting and implementing in deployable or large enterprise environments of Windows patching and anti-malware update systems. /liliAt least 3 years' active participation in a DevOps team with demonstrable experience of Bash or PowerShell scripting languages. /liliAt least 3 years' active participation in a DevOps team with demonstrable experience of Automation and orchestration tools. /liliThorough knowledge of TCP/IP networking principles. /liliKnowledge of ITIL IT service management mode and applied knowledge of Service Transition. /liliProven ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing technical manuals. /liliIt would be considered highly desirable if you possess the following certifications: Formal ITIL Certification in Service Operation; COTS products (Microsoft MCSA/MCSE, VMWare VCP, Cisco CCDA, CCNA). /liliIt is considered highly desirable if you can demonstrate experience with at least one of the following: Previous in depth experience with Ansible configuration management and orchestration tool to manage Redhat Linux and Windows systems;
