Overview FCID is seeking an “Accounting and Tax Manager” to support the business operations in Italy. The role reports to the Senior Manager, Accounting FCID Europe Asia located in Greece and has responsibility over 4 direct reports in Italy, 1 in Thailand and 1 in Mexico. Primary responsibilities include management of local accounting, tax, treasury and filings operations in Italy, Mexico, Thailand and Romania. Responsibilities Prepare monthly closure using Netsuite, GL accounts reconciliations / reclasses, IC reconciliations, AR / AP details, bank details, dividend payments and other cash transfer across the Group Coordinate and oversee tax matters and liaise with local advisors and the US Tax Manager. Tax matters include current income taxes, DTA / DTL, VAT, WHT, R&D deductions opportunities, etc. Manage preparation of monthly accruals and related supporting documentation Manage revenue recognition activities for Italy, Mexico, Thailand and Romania Import summary balances from subsidiaries in Mexico, Thailand and the branch in Romania Support Global Finance in implementing new accounting principles / tools (e.g., cash collection policies, DoA, internal control matrix) Support Global Finance in automating the internal flow (from paper to shared folders) Manage and coordinate local statutory audits and all local filings (preparation of minutes of BoD and shareholders’ meetings and support external tax office in finalizing annual financial statements) Deal with advisors (accounting, tax, auditors) and provide documents to complete statutory, VAT and income tax declarations Qualifications Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations Minimum 4 years in Audit (preferably Big 4 or tier 2 audit firms) Minimum 4-5 years in a multinational group (ideally operating in service market) Knowledge of Microsoft Excel Ability to work in an international, fast-paced and change-driven environment Ability to manage a heterogeneous team with diverse competences and backgrounds Proactivity, high attention to detail and accuracy Place of work is Bologna with hybrid work arrangement Language : fluent English Nice to have CPA or other local chartered accountant qualification Experience working with Netsuite Experience with IFRS or US GAAP About Us FoodChain ID was founded in 1996 as Genetic ID, a pioneer of the GMO food identification industry—one that is now embraced worldwide.
