Our platform enables energy providers to create energy communities and smart tariffs in their distribution areas. Users can monitor their energy consumption and purchase renewable energy from neighbors, making the energy transition accessible and engaging.

The role can be performed remotely within EU countries.
* Your role
As a UX Designer at exnaton, you will be part of our 30-person team, helping shape the company's vision from the ground up. You will design intuitive dashboards and scalable web components, collaborating closely with a Senior UX Designer and cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Developers, and Customer Success, to develop user-centric solutions that meet business and user needs.
We are looking for someone to support us in the following areas:
* Dashboard Design: Creating user-friendly, data-driven dashboards for white-label products that are clear, actionable, and visually appealing;
* Web Component Design: Developing modular, reusable web components aligned with our design system and adaptable for various clients;
* Design Systems: Contributing to and maintaining exnaton's design system to ensure consistency and scalability across all products;
* User Research & Testing: Working with the Senior UX Designer to gather insights through user research, usability testing, and feedback, including conducting interviews and testing in German;
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to align design solutions with business and technical requirements;
* Prototyping & Wireframing: Creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to communicate ideas effectively;
* Accessibility & Usability: Ensuring all designs adhere to best practices in accessibility and usability, creating inclusive experiences for diverse users.
* Your qualifications
We value a culture of collaboration and ownership. We seek a driven, capable, and thoughtful individual to join our mission. The ideal candidate:
* Has 2-5 years of hands-on UX design experience, with a strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design, end-to-end processes, and rationales;
* Is proficient in Figma, with a solid understanding of responsive design and accessibility standards;
* Can interpret user research and testing data to refine designs effectively;
* Is fluent in English and German (German fluency is essential for user interviews and testing with German-speaking customers);
* Is a team player with a growth mindset, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment;
* Possesses strong communication skills, able to articulate design decisions and advocate for user needs across teams.
It is a plus if you have enthusiasm for digitalization, sustainability, renewable energy, or energy systems.
