Role OverviewThe company is seeking an experienced Analog / RFIC Design Engineer to support the design and development of high-performance integrated circuits for advanced optical and communication systems.
You will be part of a fast-paced, international research environment working on state-of-the-art RF, mmWave, and optical IC technologies, contributing to innovation from concept through to validation.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop high-performance Analog / RFICs for optical transceiver applications
Perform circuit simulation, verification, optimisation, and performance analysis
Collaborate with system engineers to define specifications and target performance
Support and guide layout activities, ensuring high-quality physical implementation
Contribute to feasibility studies and evaluate different design approaches
Share knowledge, best practices, and contribute to innovation within the team
Requirements
~10+ years' experience in Analog / RFIC design
Proficiency with Cadence design tools and full design flow (schematic → layout → test)
Experience with CMOS / SiGe BiCMOS technologies
Strong understanding of RF/analog design principles and performance optimisation
Ability to work in international, cross-functional teams
Nice to Have
PhD or MSc in a relevant engineering field
Experience in optical or optoelectronic ICs (e.g. TIAs, drivers)
Exposure to microwave / millimetre-wave design (E-band, W-band, D-band)
Knowledge of advanced EM, signal integrity, or power integrity
Experience with antenna systems, phased arrays, or front-end modules
Familiarity with lab validation and high-frequency measurement techniques
