R&D Specialist - Calusco d'Adda, Lombardy, Italy - Research, Chemistry
We are seeking an R&D Specialist to join the R&D department in Calusco d'Adda (BG).
The Calusco Technology Center plays a crucial role in supporting regional EMEA market activities in the cement industry, including product development, maintenance, and advanced technical assistance. The R&D Specialist will manage a wide range of departmental projects in collaboration with the regional team.
* Collaborate with regional contacts and the R&D manager to select projects and prioritize requests for optimal management across EMEA;
* Perform maintenance, cleaning, calibration, and calibration of laboratory instruments;
* Conduct chemical-physical analyses of new products and raw material mixing;
* Record and analyze data, identify anomalies and deviations;
* Prepare technical reports for the R&D team and regional stakeholders;
* Experiment with new formulations, including improved versions of existing products;
* Perform physical tests (fineness, mechanical resistance, setting time, expansion, etc.);
* Verify compliance with ISO standards or other quality systems;
* Adhere to laboratory safety regulations.
Qualifications:
* Degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or equivalent;
* Knowledge of R&D laboratory techniques;
* Experience with cement testing (mortar, concrete, etc.) is desirable but not essential;
* Understanding of relevant regulations;
* Experience in project management based on priorities;
* English proficiency at B2 level.
