The Digital products portfolio represents different customer facing digital channels such as Alexa, Google Assistant as well as social messaging and chat interfaces to allow our customers to self-service everything around their products and services. The heart of this represents the Vodafone global TOBi platform, which is an AI-powered chatbot platform which integrates with several channels to serve a consistent customer experience. The aim is to delight our customers with a “wow” effect by making the experience as smooth and intelligent as possible. The platform includes all aspects of an AI-powered system such as Intent Recognition, Dialogue Management, as well as Speech-to-Text and Text-to-Speech services.
The role owner will be responsible for the integration of neural speech services into the global TOBi platform architecture and drive the adoption within the Vodafone markets. This requires a high-level technical understanding of the local and global platforms, and 3rd party neural speech services. The role owner will be measured against the successful implementation and rollout into the Vodafone footprint.
The role includes the ability to understand latest technology trends and convert those into assets. A strong international background is required as the role includes working with international teams as well as the Vodafone footprint across different markets.
The role owner will be part of an agile squad and responsible to deliver the solutions to our markets.
The role owner will work closely with the Service Lifecycle Manager to ensure the project deliveries are handed over to support after launch. The role owner brings a track record in delivering services / apps into different markets / organizations.
**Key accountabilities and decision ownership**:
- Rollout - drive rollout of neural speech services across the Vodafone footprint and enable markets to create automated voice journeys
- Service Improvement - ability to translate business demands into technical requirements
- Integration Design & Delivery - ability to understand and integrate local components into global architecture.
- Technical Project Management - ability to coordinate suppliers, engage with peers and other stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of functionality and quality in projects.
**Core competencies, knowledge and experience**:
- Proven experience and recognized knowledge of integrating platforms and services
- Expertise in Agile software development environment and methods
- Strong time-management skills and being comfortable working under pressure
- Self-motivated individual with excellent organisational, presentation and analytical skills
- Good understanding of neural speech services and technologies
- Experience on Azure or AWS
**Must have technical / professional qualifications**:
- Higher education degree in IT/Engineering or related field
- Experience in agile methodologies, such as Scrum, Kanban
- Minimum 10 years of experience in solution design in a telecom environment
