In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, testing, and commissioning software solutions for refit projects, as well as supporting field service and commissioning activities onboard vessels and at shipyards. /p pThe position combines software engineering, hands‑on troubleshooting, and customer‑facing field activities. You will work closely with engineering, project management, and field service teams to ensure high‑quality software delivery in line with NACOS Marine standards. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liPrepare and configure software solutions for refit and upgrade projects /li liTest, verify, and validate software prior to deployment on vessels /li liPerform field service activities according to defined work plans /li liConduct basic troubleshooting, including testing, fine‑tuning, and parameter adjustments /li liIndependently execute complex software‑related repairs and system overhauls when required /li liPerform installation, pre‑commissioning, and commissioning activities /li liHand over commissioned systems to customers and / or shipyards /li liLead or coordinate assigned teams during execution of on‑site activities when applicable /li liInteract directly with customers during project and service execution /li liProvide internal and external status updates on assigned tasks /li libCreate accurate and timely service and commissioning reports /b /li liEnsure all work is carried out in accordance with NACOS Marine Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental guidelines as well as customer site procedures /li liAdvise customers on available NACOS products, upgrades, and solutions /li /ul h3Key Requirements /h3 ul liTechnical education or degree in Software Engineering, Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field /li liExperience with software preparation, testing, and commissioning in technical or industrial environments /li liUnderstanding of automation or control systems; maritime experience is an advantage /li liAbility to troubleshoot software and system‑related issues in operational environments /li liStructured, solution‑oriented, and hands‑on working style /li liStrong communication skills and confidence in customer‑facing situations /li liAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively within project teams /li liWillingness to travel and work on‑site at shipyards and onboard vessels /li liProficiency in English (spoken and written); additional languages are an advantage /li /ul h3Why choose us and why we’d choose you /h3 pAt NACOS Marine, we empower our people to take ownership, work independently, and grow through responsibility.
