Year-on-year, as we continue to grow, we need to work as smart as we can, to keep all our team members safe, fulfilled, motivated and empowered. To help us achieve this, we’re seeking a driven EHS Officer. With your Bias for Action, we’ll need you to step in and help drive health and safety across our fulfillment center in East Cairo. /ppIn this crucial WHS position, you’ll report to the WHS Manager. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liLead site risk assessment for current and new activities. /li liLead implementation of site specific WHS standards and guidelines. /li liLead implementation of site WHS objective and programs. /li liPromote safe culture among employees by providing daily WHS content to shift briefing. /li liPerform frequent site safety audits to identify all non-compliance equipment and/or processes at the site. Work with Operations team to implement solutions to eliminate exposure to these risks and prevent injury. /li liAttend to incidents and occupational injuries cases on site. /li liGuide and assist area managers on incident investigations, write ups and communication of lessons learned. /li liAssist Ops team in follow up sheet and CAPA creation. Audit record-keeping practices and ensure entries are aligned with global WHS standards and local regulations. /li liEnsure the PPE inventory at site and coordinate with procurement for order placement. /li liArea Organisation (AO) weekly assignment, monitoring and support. /li liDaily Powered Industrial Tool and Trailer Dock Release inspection and communications. /li liDaily Action Tracking System monitoring and support. /li liParticipate in site management safety walk, provide insight into unsafe acts and conditions to management. /li liProvide daily update to WHS Manager on objectives progress, incidents, AO ATS, network actions, etc. /li liPreparation of WHS committee meeting agenda, MOM write up, ATS creation. /li liDaily Permit to Work review and sign off. /li liLead on WHS related procurement and follow up. /li liPreparing emergency response plans. /li liManaging and conducting emergency drills. /li liManaging preparation and training of emergency drills, prepare records. /li liHeat Index establishment, monitoring and support. /li liProvide support to site specific requests, unplanned events and activities. /li liConduct daily and weekly WHS audits, such as hazard waste room inspection, spill kit inspection, first aid room, etc. /li /ul h3Basic Qualifications /h3 ul liWHS Experience or WHS qualifications. /li liExperience using Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional capacity. /li liBachelor’s degree in safety, environmental, ergonomics or a related field required. /li liNEBOSH IOSH certified. /li liExperience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment. /li liAbility to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy. /li liGood communicator - English local language. /li liAvailable to work flexible shifts including days, nights and/or weekends. /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul li2+ years of growing responsibilities in safety and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations. /li liAbility to analyze accident data, new processes, and machinery for potential safety concerns and conduct job hazard and job safety analyses. /li liExperience in emergency response and currently holds First aid and CPR certificates. /li /ul pOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
