<p><strong>TECHNICAL MANAGER - ELECTRONICS & EMBEDDED SYSTEMS</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><br></p><p>At the heart of product innovation (gate automation, access control, smart home), within the Engineering office located in Schio, we are looking for a <strong>Technical Manager</strong> to manage the electronics department.</p><p>The activities carried out in this office involve the design and integration of hardware (HW) and firmware (FW) for the development of automation systems for residential access.</p><p>We are seeking a dynamic individual, capable of building and enabling positive professional relationships. We are looking for someone with a strong background in the development of electronic HW and FW for embedded systems, and who has a passion for managing a professional team of electronic and firmware designers.</p><p>Reporting to the Platform Manager, you will be responsible for delivering robust, connected, and industrialized electronic solutions, ensuring performance, reliability, and cost competitiveness.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Technical leadership:</strong></p><ul><li>Manage electronic design activities (power electronics, motor control, RF);</li><li>Validate design choices (cost, performance, robustness) done by technical Engineers;</li><li>Interface with product marketing and System Engineers to translate needs into technical solutions;</li><li>Collaborate with software, cloud, and IoT teams;</li><li>Ensure quality and repeatability in high-volume production;</li><li>Guarantee product maintenance in serial life conditions;</li><li>Actively participate to the continuous improvement tools, methodologies & standards of the technical profession;</li><li>Drive cost optimization (BOM, design-to-cost approach).</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Team Management: </strong></p><ul><li>Lead and develop the team (roles, responsibilities, skill development);</li><li>Create and drive individual and team development plans (EMC, RF, low power, safety);</li><li>Empower teams in cross-functional collaborations and cooperation, support and motivate team members in achieving project goals;</li><li>Actively contribute to recruitment;</li><li>Ensure compliance with standards (e.g., activity monitoring with designers, in-person meetings, design reviews).</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or equivalent;</li><li>5-10 years of prior experience in firmware and/or hardware development for embedded systems in industrial environments (high-volume products);</li><li>3-5 years of team management experience within electronics technical offices;</li><li>Fluent professional English – (French is a nice to have).</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>TECHNICAL SKILLS</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Knowledge of microcontroller-based embedded systems, C programming language, and hands-on experience managing “System On Module” systems through serial interfaces and APIs;</li><li>Analog, digital, and power electronics (motor control, power supply);</li><li>PCB design and validation (EMC, thermal, reliability);</li><li>Knowledge of RF / IP protocols (e.g., Zigbee, Thread);</li><li>Strong understanding of industrial and manufacturing constraints;</li><li>Strong design-to-cost and mass production mindset;</li><li>Nice to have: Experience in automation, motor control, access control, or smart home.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>The position entertains multidisciplinary relationships with internal multicultural teams and external stakeholders (suppliers, subcontractors, customers), collaborating with Project Management Office, Quality, Test & Lab and Industrialization teams.
