Job Description
The Plant Controller is a key role within the Controlling department, responsible for supporting the financial and operational performance monitoring of the production plant and contributing to data-driven decision-making.
Working in a dynamic and international environment, this role requires a strong analytical mindset, a proactive attitude, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams such as Production, Operations, Sales, and Technical departments.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting & Performance Monitoring
* Prepare and support the creation of periodic financial and operational reports.
* Ensure data accuracy, quality, and timeliness.
* Monitor plant performance through key KPIs, identifying areas for improvement.
* Support the presentation of results to management.
Budgeting, Forecast & Variance Analysis
* Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting processes.
* Monitor deviations between actual results and planned targets.
* Provide detailed variance analysis and support corrective action plans.
* Coordinate data collection from production departments, ensuring deadlines and data quality.
Business Planning
* Support the definition and monitoring of the Business Plan.
* Collaborate with department managers to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
* Contribute to the preparation of high-quality presentations for top management and headquarters.
Cost Control & Efficiency
* Monitor industrial costs and identify optimization opportunities.
* Analyze production efficiency (e.g., Weekly Efficiency reports).
* Support cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
Project & Strategic Initiatives Support
* Participate in cross-functional projects, providing financial and analytical support.
* Monitor the progress of strategic initiatives.
International Collaboration
* Interface with plants and country units on a global scale.
* Support process standardization and data quality improvement.
* Work effectively in a multicultural and evolving environment.
Qualifications
Education
* Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Management Engineering, Statistics, or related fields.
Technical Skills
* Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
* Experience with ERP systems or controlling tools is a plus.
* Good understanding of industrial KPIs and financial analysis.
Languages
* Fluent in Italian.
* Fluent in English (minimum B2 level).
* German is a plus.
