Your Mission As Director of Finance & Strategy, you will be the key strategic advisor to the General Manager of Glovo Italy - one of Glovo’s largest and most strategic markets. With full ownership of the country’s financial planning, performance steering, and strategic decision-making, you will play a key role in shaping the financial health, strategic direction and long-term success of the business in a highly competitive and fast-evolving environment. You will lead a high-performing team that combines financial excellence with strategic foresight, partnering with leaders across operations, marketing, q-commerce, commercial and more, ensuring that every initiative is value-generating, and every euro spent creates real impact. The Journey - Lead a Finance & Strategy team that delivers insights, proactively identifies opportunities, and challenges the status quo to shape the future of our business. - Be the strategic right-hand to the General Manager: provide guidance on the country's roadmap, investment decisions, business model evolution, and other opportunities. - Own and steer the full P&L, from revenue levers to cost optimization. - Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and monthly performance reviews, partnering with all departments to drive transparency and accountability. - Develop business cases, scenario analyses, and predictive models to guide expansion, commercial strategy, operational optimisation and innovation efforts. - Partner with the central finance, strategy, and data teams to ensure alignment and best-in-class execution. - Be a trusted counterpart in C-level discussions with accountability over financial storytelling and performance insights. - Own process improvement and the finance operations roadmap in collaboration with local and global stakeholders. - Support and oversee treasury and accounting needs as well as monitor and prepare financial policies and Financial Statements. - Supervise the relationship with third parties: external auditors, administrations, external consultants as required. - Represent the country in international forums, sharing learnings and helping shape Glovo’s global playbook. What You Will Bring to the Ride Experience & Background - 10-15 years’ experience in Finance, Strategy, Consulting, or equivalent high-impact environments. - Proven experience in senior leadership roles, with full P&L exposure and cross-functional business acumen. - Track record in leading high-performing teams, including recruiting and developing top talent. - Strong exposure to high-growth, tech, e-commerce, or marketplace environments. - Background in strategy consulting (e.g., MBB) and/or CFO-track roles in fast-paced companies is a strong plus. - Fluency in Italian and English is required.
