The Trade Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring that all project activities involving the export, re-export, transfer, and brokering of goods, software, and technology comply with applicable export control and sanctions regulations.
Key Activities & Responsibilities
Throughout the lifecycle of the project, the Trade Compliance Officer will:
1. Assess risks and vulnerabilities associated with project activities related to export, re-export, transfer, and brokering of goods, software, and technology.
2. Liaise with project functions (including procurement, logistics, engineering, project control, and finance) on all matters relating to Trade Compliance.
3. Screen products to identify dual-use items and restricted goods that require prior export authorization.
4. Prepare export authorization applications when needed.
5. Ensure the accurate and efficient filing of Trade Compliance documentation.
6. Prepare periodic reports on Trade Compliance activities and related matters.
Personal Attributes
* Minimum of five years of relevant experience.
* Proficiency in both spoken and written English is essential.
* Technical skills are preferred.
