Since 2018,AGAP2 Italyhas been active nationwide in the following sectors:Energy, Oil & Gas, Steel, Hydrogen, Power Generation, and Construction .ABOUT THE ROLE – Deck Engineering Coordinator We are looking for aDeck Engineering Coordinatorwith strong experience inoffshore topside structures and module integration .
The selected candidate will report directly to theProject Managerand will coordinate all engineering activities related to thedesign, integration, lifting, installation, and commissioning of topside modules or deck structuresforoffshore platforms, FPSOs, or fixed installations .
The role acts as thekey interface between engineering, construction, and marine operations teamsto ensure the safe and efficient execution of deck-related activities.Key Responsibilities Engineering Coordination Coordinatemultidisciplinary engineering activities(structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation) related totopside deck modules or integrated decks .
Review and consolidate engineering deliverables such asGeneral Arrangement (GA) drawings, lifting studies, clash detection reports, and 3D models .
Ensure design compliance withclient specifications, classification society requirements (e.g., ABS, DNV), and applicable standards(API, ISO, ASME).
Coordinatedeck load-out planning, including grillage and seafastening design, temporary works, and lifting interfaces.Interface Management Interface withconstruction, lifting/marine, hook-up, and commissioning teamsto ensure proper integration and sequencing of deck activities.
Coordinate technical activities withsubcontractors, vendors, and fabrication yardsrelated to deck equipment and systems.
Align deck design and installation strategies withmarine operations and installation constraints(barge or heavy-lift vessel limits, lifting points, center of gravity, etc.).Construction Support Review theconstructability of deck modules, including transport, lifting, and offshore installation considerations.
Support and monitorfabrication activities at the yard, resolving engineering queries (TQs, NCRs, etc.) in coordination with discipline engineers.
Provide technical support duringload-out, transportation, and offshore lifting operations .Planning & Documentation Participate in the development and monitoring ofdeck-related schedules, milestones, and progress reports .
Maintaintechnical coordination logs, material take-offs (MTOs), status reports, and engineering documentation .
Support the preparation ofinstallation procedures and as-built documentationfor project handover.Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge oftopside deck engineering design, fabrication, and offshore installation .
Familiarity with engineering tools such asAutoCAD, Navisworks, and STAAD Pro .
Stronginterface management and coordination skillswith multidisciplinary teams.
Good understanding ofoffshore lifting operations, marine installation, and construction sequencing .
Strong attention to detail with aproactive and safety-oriented approach .Minimum Qualifications Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Structural Engineeringfrom an accredited university.
Minimum8 years of professional experiencein the relevant discipline after obtaining the BSc degree. xjrgpwk
