Location & commitmentsPossibility to work remotelyExtensive international travel (70%) within Europe Objective & MissionThe key role of the IoT Commissioning Engineer is to ensure customer sites are well connected to the cloud and ensure valid asset data are flowing from the customer’s site to the EAA (Eco-structure Asset Advisor) platform. This position is accountable for:Upgrading the customer critical assets with smart sensors and communication featuresConfigure gateway, and connect critical assets to the cloudIntegration (preparation, connectivity, validation, and cybersecurity compliance)Collecting all data requested for Digital platform provisioning (done by Connected Services Hub (CSH))Supporting the preparation and execution phases of complex solutionsOn-site intervention following CSH insights from condition-based monitoring, customer requests Main responsibilitiesReview customer electrical distribution network (HV, LV…) to identify critical assets to be upgraded, compile all installation info (equipment and IT) and collect cybersecurity requirementsPreparation of work and staging: sensor pairing, custom model, firmware upgrade, gateway association to tenant, off-site testing; and validation of Bill of Materials including modem & SIM cardInstallation of new sensors and/or protection relays on siteConfigure communications and connect digital devices (relays, sensors, SMD, …) to gatewayETP connection: connect system to the Internet – Schneider cloud platform (northbound)Commission the IT/IoT portion of the digital services: coordination with other SE Field ServicesEngineers/Eco-Experts / Subcontractors / Customer’s staffEnd to End testing and validation to ensure successful connectionTroubleshoot End to End connectivity including ETP using procedure and ticketing toolCompile project data for provisioning by CSH into Eco-Struxure Asset Advisor (EAA) Platform, projectdata should be complete to prevent delays in CSH provisioningValidate the communication architecture for devices and gateways to retrieve and publish data for the assets up to the EAA Platform.Be the technical warrant of the services capabilities in front of the customer.Support customer projects on all connectivity matters including cyber security and analytics (including 3rd party solutions and 3rd party sensors).
