We are on a mission to become the world’s most requested PPE and Safety Wear brand. /ph3Job Summary /h3pWe are seeking a hands‑on Warehouse Team Leader to support the setup and day‑to‑day operations of a new warehouse facility. This role will act as the first‑line leader for warehouse operatives and forklift drivers, ensuring efficient shift execution across inbound, storage and outbound activities. The Team Leader will play a critical role in establishing operational standards, driving productivity, and maintaining a strong health and safety culture in a fast‑paced PPE environment. The successful candidate will combine strong people leadership with a hands‑on approach, actively supporting warehouse tasks when required. Working closely with the Warehouse Shift Manager and Operations Manager, this role will be key to building a high‑performing team in a growing operation. /ph3Key Responsibilities /h3ulliLead and coordinate warehouse activities for the assigned shift, including goods‑in, order picking, packing, replenishment, and dispatch. /liliSupervise, motivate, and support the team to achieve shift targets and operational KPIs. /liliAllocate workloads effectively to meet productivity and accuracy standards. /liliEnsure compliance with health safety policies, hygiene regulations, and PPE handling procedures at all times. /liliConduct shift briefings and debriefs to communicate priorities, updates, and safety reminders. /liliMonitor team performance and address issues such as absenteeism, performance gaps, or training needs. /liliMaintain accurate records of stock movements, discrepancies, damages, and shift handovers using the Warehouse Management System (WMS). /liliAssist with stock counts, audits, and investigations into discrepancies or damages. /liliEscalate operational challenges promptly to the Warehouse Shift managers or the Operations Manager as appropriate. /liliAct as the primary point of contact for resolving operational issues during the shift. /li /ulh3Requirements /h3ulliProven experience in a warehouse team leader or supervisory role. /liliStrong understanding of warehouse operations and KPIs. /liliExperience managing teams in a hands‑on environment. /liliGood level of English (required for communication and system use). /liliFamiliarity with WMS or ERP systems. /liliStrong organisational and problem‑solving skills. /liliFlexibility to perform operational tasks as part of a small team. /li /ulh3Nice To Have /h3ulliForklift licence or experience operating warehouse equipment. /liliExperience in a fast‑paced or start‑up warehouse environment. /li /ulpApplicants must have a right to live and work in the relevant jurisdiction. /ppPortwest is an equal opportunity employer.
