We are seeking a talented Strategic Pricing Manager, to join our Pricing team at Dayco in Burolo (TO). Summary of the position The Strategic Pricing Manager is responsible for leading the pricing function to maximize profitability, market share, and revenue growth. This role manages a team of Pricing Analysts, ensuring execution of pricing strategies, competitive analysis, and financial modeling. The Manager collaborates closely with sales, marketing, finance, and product teams to optimize pricing structures, maintain compliance, and empower the organization with data-driven insights. Main Duties & Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management
Lead, mentor, and develop Pricing Analysts, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Set clear goals and KPIs for the pricing team, ensuring alignment with company objectives. Empower analysts to take ownership of pricing execution while providing strategic guidance.
Strategic Pricing Execution
Develop and manage pricing strategies and policies aligned with organizational goals. Conduct competitive analysis, market trend evaluation, and customer behavior studies to inform pricing decisions. Monitor pricing performance and adjust strategies to maximize revenue, profitability, and market share. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to launch new products/services with optimal pricing structures.
Financial Modeling & Analysis
Oversee financial modeling and pricing simulations to assess the impact of pricing changes. Provide actionable pricing recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making. Ensure pricing compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Tools & Systems Management
Manage pricing tools, databases, and reporting systems to ensure accuracy and timeliness of data. Leverage pricing optimization software, BI tools, and competitive intelligence platforms to drive insights. Ensure integration of pricing data with CRM and ERP systems for seamless execution.
Training & Collaboration
Train and support sales teams on pricing policies, negotiation strategies, and value‑based selling. Partner with marketing and product teams to align pricing with brand positioning and product lifecycle. Facilitate communication across departments to ensure pricing strategies are well understood and executed.
Requirement & Skills
Minimum 5/6 years of experience in Pricing Department. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Economics, or a related field. Fluency in English. Knowledge of French and Spanish is a plus. Proficiency in Excel, pricing optimization software, BI tools, and ERP/CRM systems. Strong analytical skills to interpret large data sets, solve issues, assess trends, identify opportunities, and support data‑driven decisions. Strong market knowledge and understanding of related processes, strategies, and best practices. Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with sales teams and other stakeholders. Visionary leadership to facilitate strategic plans and empower and develop teams to drive actionable results. Technical knowledge and proficiency in relevant areas (e.g., engineering concepts, data analysis). Strategic mindset with the ability to focus on the big picture and translate it into actionable steps. Creative thinker with an ownership mindset and a focus on continuous improvement.
