PRole Overview: /ppWe’re seeking a dynamic and results-driven Mechanical Designer that will contribute to the expansion into new markets for Metamaterials and innovative solutions. This role is fundamental in shaping ideas and from prototyping phase to industrialization and certification processes. /p pThe focus is mainly on structural material such as metal sheet work and manufacturing.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design, with specific expertise in sheet metal part development. This role involves close collaboration with RD and production departments to ensure products technical feasibility but also manufacturability and cost efficiency. /p pKey Responsibilities: /pp1. Develop innovative solutions starting from sheet metal treatment, with a focus on cutting, bending, welding and advanced techniques. /pp2. Design 3D models and 2D drawings of sheet metal parts and assemblies /pp3. Define technical specifications, tolerances, material choices /pp4. Creation of documentation of industrialization and certification phases /pp5. Work closely with teams to address specific challenges in strategic infrastructure, naval, and medical sectors, delivering tailored solutions for our customers. /pp6. Manage product development projects, focusing on practical and feasible solutions, contributing directly to prototyping and testing phases. /pp7. Collaborate with customers to understand their needs, solving complex problems and providing practical, efficient solutions. /p p Qualifications: /pp1. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience is strongly reccomended /pp2. 2-3 years practical experience in sheet metal work and design (cutting, bending, advanced processes) and a passion for the field. /pp3. Proficient in 3D CAD software (Inventor is preferred) /pp4. Plannig mindset to manage project development following milestones indipendently from the development tasks. /pp5. Proactive approach to solving technical challenges and developing solutions for high-complexity sectors like infrastructure, naval, and medical devices. /pp6. Experience in workshops and manufacturing plant or a strong willingness to "get hands-on" and understand production processes. /p pWhile an engineering background is strongly reccomended, hands-on experience and a strong drive are key to success in this position.
