In this capacity, the role serves as the key legal partner to the procurement function, supporting strategic projects, contract negotiations, regulatory advice and dispute resolution. /p pIn addition, the Legal Counsel provides broader legal support, advice, and services to the business group. The role covers a broad range of legal matters, including the drafting and negotiation of contracts, litigation and claims handling, as well as commercial contracts, intellectual property, employment, regulatory, competition law, compliance, and other dispute-related matters. /p pAs a key adviser to the business, the Legal Counsel helps protect the company’s interests and rights by providing strategic legal guidance and ensuring that business activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards within the relevant regions. /p pThe Legal Counsel works closely with business stakeholders to support operations and manage legal risk, contributing to both day-to-day legal matters and more complex strategic initiatives. /p pThe position reports to the Business Group General Counsel and works in close coordination with the wider Legal team. /p h3Key Job Accountabilities /h3 ul liServe as the primary legal partner to the Procurement function across Amcor Flexibles EMEA. /li liDraft, review, negotiate, and administer complex procurement agreements, including long-term supply agreements, framework agreements, raw material sourcing contracts, logistics arrangements, and strategic supplier partnerships. /li liLead the management of supplier claims and disputes, developing and executing legal strategies for pre-litigation claims and acting as the internal liaison for external counsel in litigation or arbitration proceedings. /li liAdvise on regulatory issues such as direct raw material regulations, indirect services and products, competition law, ethical supply chain issues, sustainability targets with tier 1, 2 and 3 suppliers, greenhouse gas emissions, carbon trading, and other green and industry-related regulations. /li liAct as the go-to legal advisor for supply chain and procurement projects involving footprint or machine capacity assessment and raw material sourcing. /li liAnalyze recurring dispute patterns and supplier risk exposure, proactively updating contract templates and procurement processes to strengthen risk mitigation. /li liProvide broader legal support, including commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, data privacy, and other dispute-related matters. /li liDraft, review, and negotiate a range of commercial agreements such as sales contracts, confidentiality agreements, terms of engagement, and selected MA-related agreements. /li liProvide guidance and support in the creation, implementation, management of compliance initiatives and deliver targeted training. /li liMaintain effective working relationships across all levels of the organization and coordinate with other Business Group legal counsels to ensure consistency and effective risk management. /li /ul h3Qualifications/Requirements /h3 ul liFully qualified lawyer in an EU Member State with strong knowledge of EU law as it applies to private commercial transactions, contracts, corporate procurement, competition law, and regulatory compliance. /li liMinimum of 8 years of post‑qualification experience in legal practice, specifically focused on commercial and procurement law. /li liDeep expertise in drafting and negotiating high-value procurement agreements. /li liProven capability in claim handling and litigation management, resolving supplier disputes through negotiation and formal legal proceedings. /li liTrack record including rigorous training in a reputable private practice and in‑house experience acting as a direct partner to business stakeholders. /li liPrior experience within a manufacturing or complex B2B environment is highly advantageous. /li liExperience operating within an international or multi‑jurisdictional framework, comfortable navigating cross‑border contracts and diverse legal systems. /li liStrong working knowledge of emerging regulations affecting procurement (ESG compliance, CBAM, EUDR, data privacy, modern trade sanctions) is viewed favorably. /li liResponsive, proactive, ownership‑driven, commercially minded, pragmatic, accurate, efficient, and business partner mindset. /li /ul h3About Amcor /h3 pAmcor is a global leader in developing and producing responsible consumer packaging and dispensing solutions across a variety of materials for nutrition, health, beauty, and wellness categories.
