Director of Finance
to join the
pre-opening leadership team —a disciplined, trusted partner who will build the financial foundations of the hotel with elegance, rigour, and absolute integrity.
The Director of Finance will lead all financial strategy and operations for Baccarat Hotel Rome, from pre-opening through stabilisation and ongoing. You will establish controls, systems, and reporting that support performance without compromising the guest experience. This role requires a confident leader with exceptional technical capability, sound commercial judgement, and a strong understanding of
Italian statutory requirements, local laws, and regulatory compliance
.
Lead the hotel’s
pre-opening finance set-up
, including systems implementation, policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Oversee
budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning
, partnering closely with the General Manager and executive team.
Ensure full compliance with
Italian accounting standards, tax requirements, labour regulations, and statutory reporting
.
Manage
cash flow, treasury, and banking relationships
, ensuring appropriate controls and approvals are in place.
Oversee
month-end and year-end close
, financial statements, variance analysis, and executive reporting.
Direct
AP/AR, purchasing controls, inventory management, cost control
, and auditing processes.
Partner with operations to optimise
revenue flow-through, cost of sales, payroll
, and departmental productivity.
Lead the finance team with a high standard of professionalism, discretion, and service.
Support external relationships including
auditors, tax advisors, regulators, and ownership representatives
.
Significant senior finance leadership experience within
luxury hospitality
; experience in luxury or lifestyle hotels is strongly valued.
Strong working knowledge of
Italian laws and regulations
relevant to hotel operations, including statutory accounting, tax, payroll, and compliance obligations.
Exceptional command of
hotel P&L;
, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control, with a commercial mindset and operational fluency.
Experience establishing and maintaining robust
internal controls
and audit readiness in a premium environment.
