PpWe are seeking a Technical Director to lead Astradyne’s engineering and RD functions. The ideal candidate has significant experience in both the space sector (systems engineering, satellite missions) and photovoltaic technologies, with a strong focus on manufacturing processes. At a minimum, expertise in one of these two areas is required. /p pYou will guide engineering teams, oversee product development from early‑stage research through prototyping, and ensure technical excellence across projects. You will also work closely with the leadership team to shape the company’s technological roadmap. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liProvide leadership and direction to RD and engineering teams across multiple projects, establishing technical processes and milestones (e.g., TRL reviews, design reviews). /li liOversee technical development of new photovoltaic and space systems from concept to prototyping, translating RD outcomes into manufacturable products and scalable processes. /li liEnsure compliance with space qualification standards and technical requirements for mission success, coordinating environmental testing campaigns. /li liCollaborate with the leadership team to define and execute the technological roadmap, balancing short‑term deliverables with long‑term innovation goals across both terrestrial and space applications. /li liFoster a culture of innovation, teamwork, and technical rigor, while mentoring and growing a multidisciplinary team. /li liRepresent Astradyne's technical vision to partners, investors, and institutional stakeholders. /li liTranslate high‑level business objectives into detailed technical roadmaps, budgets, and resource allocations. /li liIdentify and mitigate technical risks across RD and product development, ensuring resilience in both design and manufacturing. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul li5–10+ years of professional experience in space systems engineering, satellite missions, or photovoltaic technologies. /li liProven track record of leading multidisciplinary technical teams. /li liExperience overseeing satellite missions flying to orbit or managing advanced photovoltaic technology development. /li liStrong knowledge of system integration, testing, and qualification of space‑grade systems. /li liExcellent communication and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non‑technical audiences. /li liFluent in English (written and spoken). /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liPh.D. in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. /li liExperience collaborating with ESA, NASA, or other major space agencies. /li liFamiliarity with photovoltaic manufacturing processes, cleanroom assembly, or space‑qualified solar technologies. /li liPrior experience in a director‑level or senior technical management role. /li liStrong professional network in the space or energy sectors. /li liProven experience in developing and managing intellectual property portfolios within the space or photovoltaic sector. /li liStrong background in implementing and overseeing quality assurance and certification processes in the aerospace or photovoltaic industry (e.g., familiarity with ECSS, ISO, or other aerospace/energy qualification standards). /li liA fast‑paced, mission‑driven environment: work within a team of highly qualified individuals and play a key role in Astradyne's growth. /li liA salary package that reflects your expertise and leadership. /li liInnovative culture: a workplace that values creativity, initiative, and professional development. /li liImpactful work: lead the mission to revolutionize solar energy for space and terrestrial applications. /li liFantastic workplace: Bari offers beautiful beaches, fantastic weather, and food so good it could outshine even our most advanced solar panels. /li /ul h3About Astradyne /h3 pAstradyne is a fast‑growing startup based in Bari, Italy, pioneering the next generation of photovoltaic energy systems.
