At our Product Company in Robassomero, we assemble hundreds of air compressors daily using tens of thousands of components sourced globally. To ensure smooth operations, we rely on timely, high-quality, cost-effective supplies. That’s why sourcing is a strategic pillar of our business.
We are looking for a Puchasing Team Leader to lead a team of buyers and specialists, optimize procurement processes, and drive performance across cost, quality, delivery, and sustainability.
Key Responsabilities
* Lead and develop a purchasing team (currently 8 members).
* Translate strategic goals into actionable team objectives.
* Monitor and assess team performance based on Atlas Copco’s cultural behaviors.
* Achieve KPIs in sustainability, total cost of ownership (TCO), delivery, quality, and financials.
* Simplify supply chains, rationalize supplier base, and standardize components.
* Drive innovation and challenge the status quo.
* Manage global suppliers and support new projects.
* Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms.
* Support IT system integration and cross-functional process alignment.
* Shift team focus from administrative tasks to value-added activities.
Operational Focus
* Analyze product specifications to define sourcing strategies.
* Ensure procurement aligns with forecasts, service plans, and new product development.
* Develop suppliers to meet evolving standards and regulations.
* Build a vendor network delivering defect-free components at competitive prices.
* Lead projects to improve profitability, quality, and time-to-market.
To succeed, you will need
* Strong experience in sourcing within manufacturing.
* Strong expertise in procurement and supplier management.
* Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills.
* Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
* Bonus: Experience with SharePoint, PowerBI, PowerAutomate, Project.
* Bonus: Knowledge of compressor industry and legacy systems (AS400, SAP/MM).
* Excellent knowledge of english language both written and verbal.
