The Sherwin-Williams Company is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to join the Italian Tax group. The Tax group strives to stay at the forefront of global tax legislation and utilize tax technology to enhance efficiencies and automation. The Senior Tax Analyst will report directly to the Senior Finance Manager and play a vital role in the Company’s tax compliance, research, planning, execution, and documentation. Responsibilities include: Supporting the accurate preparation and filing of Income Tax Return (Unico) and consolidated Tax Return (CNM) for each Italian Legal Entity, with the assistance of Tax advisors. Assisting with the preparation, analysis, and review of year-end income tax provisions related to statutory taxes and US taxes for assigned subsidiaries. Developing and executing moderately complex tax planning strategies and projects. Collaborating with cross-functional teams and external consultants to resolve tax issues. Maintaining a calendar of international tax compliance and reporting deadlines. Supporting VAT/Indirect Tax, Direct Tax, and Withholding Tax filings and reviews. Assisting with Italian payroll tax compliance and tax audit inquiries. Supporting domestic tax compliance for all Italian Business units. Handling audit queries, preparing audit/reconciliation schedules, and supporting statutory financial statements and external audits. Preparing Transfer Pricing documentation in collaboration with Tax advisors. Collaborating on projects to optimize tax benefits (e.g., R&D, Capex, Industria 4.0). Supporting finance transformation initiatives and ad-hoc requests. Participating in regional projects and handling administrative and intercompany requests. Position Requirements: Formal Education: Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of general ledger accounting and tax experience. Certified accountant. Education in business and accounting according to Italian standards. Knowledge & Experience: Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, capable of leading meetings. Experience in an audit environment or multinational organization with over 2 years in finance/accounting. Experience with Oracle ERP accounting is advantageous. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate financial issues clearly to various organizational levels. Constructive collaboration skills across organizational levels.
