If so, we want to hear from you! /p pWe are looking for students interested in using a variety of domain expertise to invent, design and implement state-of-the‑art solutions for never‑before‑solved problems. /p pYou can find more information about the Amazon Science community as well as our interview process via the links below:br/ /p h3Key Job Responsibilities /h3 pAs an Applied Science Intern, you will own the design and development of end‑to‑end systems. You’ll have the opportunity to write technical white papers, create roadmaps and drive production‑level projects that will support Amazon Science. /p pYou will work closely with Amazon scientists and other science interns to develop solutions and deploy them into production. You will have the opportunity to design new algorithms, models, or other technical solutions whilst experiencing Amazon’s customer‑focused culture. /p pThe ideal intern must have the ability to work with diverse groups of people and cross‑functional teams to solve complex business problems. /p h3A Day in the Life /h3 pAt Amazon, you will grow into the high impact person you know you’re ready to be. This is not a remote internship. /p h3Basic Qualifications /h3 ul liExperience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language /li liEnrolled in a PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Engineering, Operations Research, Statistics or related fields /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liHave publications at top‑tier peer‑reviewed conferences or journals /li liExperience in designing experiments and statistical analysis of results /li liExperience implementing algorithms using toolkits and self‑developed code /li liExperience in solving business problems through machine learning, data mining and statistical algorithms /li /ul pAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
