We are seeking a
Global Purchasing Manager
to lead and centralize the Group's purchasing strategy across all subsidiaries. The position's primary mission is to structure purchasing categories (notably Semiconductors, PCBs, and other key electronic components) and deliver measurable cost savings of at least –5% per year groupwide during the first three years of tenure.
This role is responsible for leading the company's worldwide procurement operations to ensure efficient, compliant, and cost-effective sourcing of materials, components, and services. This position requires a strategic and hands-on leader capable of managing global supplier relationships, optimizing purchasing strategies, and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations — including U.S. export controls such as the BIS Entity List.
This is an on-site role, and the candidate must be willing and able to travel internationally to manage supplier relationships, audits, and negotiations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES
• Develop and implement Group purchasing strategy, consolidating procurement categories across all business units to leverage scale and improve supplier terms.
• Lead cost-reduction initiatives, delivering annual savings of at least –5% at group level for the first three years.
• Map and segment suppliers globally (Semiconductors, PCB, Electronic Components, and indirect materials).
• Negotiate framework agreements to optimize purchasing conditions, quality, and reliability across the Group.
• Monitor market trends, cost drivers, and risks in the global electronic components supply chain to anticipate changes and secure supply continuity.
• Establish standardized procurement processes and KPIs across subsidiaries, ensuring transparency, efficiency, and measurable performance.
• Coordinate with local purchasing teams to ensure alignment with Group objectives while maintaining operational flexibility.
• Report regularly to the COO on progress, savings achieved, and supplier performance.

* Cost Reduction Achieve –5% annual cost reduction at Group level for first 3 years.
* Supplier database Reduce supplier base fragmentation and improve contract coverage rate.
* Procurement Process & policies Ensure compliance and traceability of procurement processes across entities.
The role will be in close interaction with various local and global functions (finance, quality, manufacturing, sales, purchasing, and engineering. Strong Interaction with our sourcing companies (employees located in Italy, Lithuania, Malta, China, and USA).
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE :
* 10+ years of experience in global supply chain/logistics or in a manufacturing international experience
* Minimum 8–10 years in Purchasing / Category Management in industrial environments with tight margins (Automotive, White Goods, Electronics, or similar).
* Proven track record of achieving multi-year cost reduction targets and supplier optimization programs.
* Excellent negotiation and analytical skills, with strong understanding of cost breakdown and total cost of ownership.
* Familiar with ERP and procurement systems, ideally with international Group exposure.
* Languages: Fluent in English; Italian strongly preferred.

* Good analytical skills as well as evaluative judgement based on the analysis of factual and qualitative information in complicated or novel situations

* Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft office suite software including Excel, Word and PowerPoint; MS Project experience is beneficial, but not required
