Scientific Support Specialist
The Scientific Support Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the development and management of projects related to relevant products. This involves providing scientific support to the business, particularly in sales and marketing, through collaboration with Universities and Opinion Leaders.
The primary responsibilities of this position include defining the scientific profile of products, detecting and managing initiatives aimed at enhancing their scientific characteristics, and ensuring adequate medical and scientific support to internal and external customers.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Planning, implementation, and monitoring of clinical trials post-launch, developing protocols, identifying suitable centers, training veterinary medical staff, preparing documentation, and verifying clinical data.
- Publishing study results to develop knowledge about our products, strengthen their pharmacological and clinical profile, reliability, and image among the veterinary medical class.
- Providing technical assistance and effective medical and scientific support during product launch and promotion, training Field Force, analyzing competitor products, participating in conferences, reviewing promotional materials, and managing questions from Veterinarians and Field Force.
- Ensuring Pharmacovigilance activities concerning VMPs, informing investigators on proper procedures, managing protocols for data collection, collecting and examining reports about adverse events, and submitting concerned documentation to competent authorities and Headquarters.
- Collaborating with the Marketing Department to ensure correct technical placement of products.
- Defining the technical contents of promotional materials.
- Interfacing with Headquarters, participating in international teams to share specific technical aspects of the Italian context, and providing technical support for implementing international scientific studies.
- Participating/leading meetings with veterinarians/farmers to increase technical knowledge/awareness of diseases relevant to the corporate products portfolio.
- Following, promoting, involving, and continuously interacting with O.L. on specific projects or topics of interest to the Company and the interlocutor.
- Defining and evaluating goals and results of the team.
Requirements
- Degree in Veterinary Medicine disciplines
- 3-6 years of experience in similar roles
- Fluent English and Italian
