Job Title: Tooling Design EngineerLocation: Abruzzo (Hybrid)Length: 12 MonthsAbout the Role:Join a high-performance engineering firm working at the forefront of composite manufacturing across advanced sectors including aerospace, automotive, and energy. You’ll take a key role in designing and developing tooling solutions for composite parts, working closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to deliver precision and repeatability at scale.Required Skills:5+ years’ experience in tooling design for composite manufacturingProficiency in CATIA V5 or Siemens NXStrong knowledge of manufacturing processes including prepreg layup, autoclave, and RTMDesired Skills:Familiarity with GDT and tolerance stack-upsExperience designing for aerospace or motorsport applicationsKey Responsibilities:Design innovative composite tooling including molds, fixtures, jigs, and trimming tools.Work with project engineers to ensure tooling designs meet functional, quality, and cost targets.Prepare detailed 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings.Support DFM/DFA analysis and collaborate with manufacturing during tool validation.Optimize designs for repeatability, thermal expansion, and ease of maintenance.Contribute to continuous improvement of tooling standards, templates, and design processes.
