Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Buyer with experience in electromechanical components, particularly motors and heaters, who will support the implementation of sourcing strategies defined by the assigned Commodity Manager.
This role will play a key part in the operational and tactical management of suppliers, contributing to cost, quality, and supply continuity objectives.
Your responsibilities will be:
Purchasing & Operational Sourcing
* Manage the procurement process for electromechanical components (motors, heaters)
* Support the implementation of commodity strategies defined by the Commodity Manager
* Conduct supplier scouting and qualification activities
* Manage RFQs, perform bid analysis, and lead commercial negotiations
Supplier Management
* Monitor supplier performance (cost, quality, delivery)
* Manage day-to-day relationships with key suppliers
* Support improvement plans and corrective actions
Cost Optimization & TCO
* Contribute to cost reduction initiatives and Total Cost of Ownership optimization
* Analyze cost breakdowns and identify saving opportunities
* Collaborate with Engineering on value engineering activities
Cross-functional Collaboration
* Interface with Engineering, Quality, Production, and Logistics teams
* Support new projects and New Product Introduction (NPI)
* Ensure material availability in line with production plans
Risk & Continuity Management
* Identify supply risks and propose mitigation actions
* Support dual sourcing strategies and business continuity plans
To be successful in this role you'll need to have:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
* 5–10 years of experience in purchasing/buyer roles within industrial environments
* Specific experience with electromechanical components (motors, heaters, or similar)
* Good understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain dynamics
* Experience in supplier management and negotiation
* Strong analytical skills and familiarity with data analysis tools
* Fluency in Italian and English
Nice to have:
* Experience in value engineering or TCO optimization initiatives
* Experience in structured manufacturing companies
