Manage technical activities related to the certification of railway signalling products. Perform type testing activities in internal Hitachi Rail laboratories and coordinate tests with external ACCREDIA‑accredited laboratories. Prepare and manage certification documentation, including Test Plans, Test Procedures and Test Reports, in compliance with applicable standards and installation configurations. Ensure correct execution of laboratory test setups and test procedures. Monitor and verify calibration activities of laboratory instruments and related records. Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of laboratory Quality Management System documentation in compliance with EN ISO/IEC 17025. Ensure compliance with applicable technical standards and metrological methodologies. Interface with customers, certification bodies, and accreditation authorities as required. Be available for short‑to‑medium‑term business travel, mainly within Italy. Strong problem‑solving skills and continuous improvement mindset. Ability to work independently while maintaining effective collaboration within a team. Attention to detail and strong quality orientation. Good practical skills in the use of laboratory measurement instruments and tools.
Required Skills / Knowledge
Knowledge of applied metrology for electromagnetic, mechanical, climatic and electrical quantities. Experience in laboratory testing or calibration activities. Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, calibration data management software and data processing tools. Ability to apply technical standards and regulatory frameworks. Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
Desired Skills / Knowledge
Experience in ACCREDIA‑accredited laboratories. Previous involvement in product certification activities within regulated environments (railway or similar industries).
Education / Qualifications
Degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or related disciplines.
Languages
English: Good technical knowledge required.
