Among the European leaders in Wealth Management solutions, Prometeia is looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to lead the development, deployment, and management of Kubernetes-based applications. Role and Responsibilities: Lead the containerization of applications using Docker and define best practices for container management. Develop and maintain Helm charts and YAML configurations for deploying complex Kubernetes resources. Define and maintain a reference architecture for Kubernetes applications, ensuring scalability, security, and operational excellence. Develop monitoring and alerting strategies using tools like Prometheus and Grafana to ensure optimal system performance. Collaborate with development and operation teams to implement best practices in container orchestration and cloud infrastructure. Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Kubernetes workloads, networking, and infrastructure. Stay ahead of emerging trends in cloud-native technologies and support their adoption within the team. Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to building a strong, collaborative engineering culture. Interact with the operations team to automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform. Architect, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for seamless Kubernetes application delivery. Design, deploy, and manage robust Kubernetes clusters in production and staging environments. Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 3 years of experience in cloud engineering or DevOps roles, with significant hands-on exposure to Kubernetes and containerization. In-depth understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, and containerization concepts. Proficiency with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and/or Red Hat OpenShift. Solid understanding of networking concepts in cloud and Kubernetes contexts, including service meshes and ingress controllers. Strong scripting and automation skills using Bash and Python. Proven ability to design and implement scalable and secure cloud architectures. Preferred: Advanced knowledge of Azure Cloud and Azure DevOps tools. Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform. Expertise in monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK/EFK stacks. Experience implementing security best practices for Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications. Familiarity with service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd.
