What you'll do
We are looking for an IT Systems Technician – Service Desk & Infrastructure to join our local IT team at our Sicilian facility in Calatafimi Segesta, Trentino‐Alto Adige. The ideal candidate has strong problem‐solving skills, an analytical orientation and can manage the support and internal client relationship responsibilities. The role is hybrid, operating both in the Service Desk and infrastructure support with a natural aptitude for interacting with various business units and collaborating with cross‐functional technical teams.
Responsibilities
Second‐level help‐desk activities.
Provide technical system support, including telephone support for IT issues.
Resolve problems remotely and on‐site for workstations, corporate software, and IT services.
Support local infrastructure activities, including management of devices, connectivity, and core systems.
Collaborate with Service Desk and Infrastructure colleagues for service implementation, maintenance, and improvement.
Plan daily activities according to priority.
Document activities and update technical manuals.
Support installations, configurations, and troubleshooting of local IT infrastructure components.
Education & Experience
Diploma in Computer Technology or a university degree.
Minimum of two years of experience in a comparable role within a modernly organized environment.
Technical Skills
Excellent knowledge of latest Microsoft operating systems (Windows 10, 11).
Excellent knowledge of Office 365 suite.
Experience configuring and using Microsoft Teams.
Experience managing Office 365 licenses and accounts.
Experience managing users on Active Directory.
Experience troubleshooting desktop/laptop/workstation hardware issues.
Experience with client computer backup and recovery systems.
Experience configuring peripherals such as network printers, scanners, access points.
Experience using client computer management tools.
Experience with ticketing and asset inventory systems such as ServiceNow, NinjaOne, Sysaid, GLPI, or similar.
Experience using PowerShell.
Knowledge and ability to work with remote access programs.
Advanced knowledge of antivirus programs (installation/configuration).
Knowledge of networks and basic routing, including HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, DNS, SMTP, POP3, IMAP protocols.
Basic experience with Windows Server and/or Linux.
Basic experience with virtualization systems (VMware).
Basic knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting switches, firewalls, and LAN/WAN connectivity.
Experience monitoring IT infrastructure and managing preventive alerts and anomalies.
Familiarity with patching, updating, and routine maintenance of servers and network devices.
Microsoft, networking (CCNA) or similar certifications are a plus.
Additional Profile
