Alkemia SGR S.p.A ., a Private Equity, PIPE and Venture Capital management firm with offices in Milan and Padua, is looking for a high-potential Investment Associate to join the Private Equity investment team in Milan
The ideal candidate has 3/4 years of experience in Private Equity, Investment Banking or in the Transaction dept. of a "Big Four" firms or similar leading boutiques. He/she will be involved in the full investment cycle: sourcing, analysis, due diligence, deal execution and portfolio management.
Education
- Bachelor or Master degree in Economics/Corporate Finance/Management/Engineering
- CFA/CAIA is a plus
Languages
- English (excellent writing and speaking skills)
- Fluency in other languages (besides italian) is appreciated
Experience (incl. internship)
- in other private asset managers
- in strategic/management consulting or audit (McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Deloitte, PWC, KPMG, E&Y;, Accenture, ...)
- in or with startups
Main Responsibilities
- Support deal sourcing, market mapping, and analysis of mid-market opportunities.
- Conduct industry research, business due diligence, and financial statement review.
- Build and manage complex financial models (LBO, DCF, sensitivities) and execute valuations.
- Coordinate due diligence with external advisors and prepare Investment Committee materials.
- Support transaction structuring, negotiation, and execution.
- Monitor portfolio companies and contribute to value-creation initiatives (M&A; add-ons, operational improvements, international expansion).
- Support fund reporting and data management activities.
Technical skills
- Strong corporate finance and valuation knowledge
- Familiarity with FactSet, PitchBook, Mergermarket is a plus.
