MAJOR DUTIES:
Produce complete electrical design packages based on customer specifications and standardized design practices used at the Client Site, and coordinate with the offshore team.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Develop comprehensive electrical design packages, including detailed electrical and pneumatic schematics, panel layouts, bills of materials, and material requisitions, based on Client standard specifications and the customers' requirements.
* Verify that the electrical design package is complete, accurate, and safe by applying sound design practices and accepted standards, and that the I/O drawings meet program requirements prior to issue to the shop floor.
* Work with project managers, designers, and electricians to solve problems during the manufacturing of machinery in order to provide the customer with a complete, functional system.
* Be able to correct the interfacing and connection of the Machinery with other components and systems, if required.
* Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Client Code of Business Conduct.
* Have thorough knowledge of machine safety standards like IEC-EN60204, etc., and be able to apply the same in the Design.
* Will be responsible for all the client project documents, like checklist, Compliance and Traceability Matrix, Compliance Checklist, Overtemperature Calculation, and Test Electrical Safety (TES), etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
A post-secondary technology diploma or engineering degree or equivalent, specializing in electronics, electrical, or controls technology.
Language:
Fluency in English and Italian, with the ability to act as a bridge between the on-site and offshore teams.
Experience:
Minimum of eight years of experience in electrical control systems design, preferably as a Lead Design Engineer in the machine automation field within the Life Sciences or pharmaceutical domain.
Expert-level proficiency with
SPAC Automazione 2025
is essential, including experience with add-on modules such as the Cable Module and other relevant tools.
Ability to stay current with emerging technologies and apply them effectively.
