If you like to drive the development, implementation and construction of new water infrastructure, your work will help deliver large‑scale water projects and renewably and strategically operate our infrastructure. /p pbLocations: /b Madrid, Zaragoza, London, Frankfurt, Dublin /p h3Overview /h3 pAWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. As part of AIS, you will support all AWS data centres and all of the servers, storage, networking, power and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liOwn the end‑to‑end delivery of off‑site water infrastructure solutions, from scoping to physical delivery, acting as the business and technical owner of all aspects. /li liManage 3rd‑party design consultants, develop and document requirements, budgets, business cases, permitting and project schedules. /li liPrepare project contracts, milestone payments and schedules; take the contract through legal reviews and procurement pathways. /li liLead and execute project management, technical design and programmatic leadership through legal and procurement to drive results. /li liMultitask and reprioritise, effectively lead deliveries based on ever‑changing business needs. /li liBuild and maintain overall delivery programme and project budget, submitting Capital Allocation Requests to senior leadership to secure finance for project delivery. /li liPrepare investment‑need/business‑case papers to secure internal funding for water reinforcement projects to secure water supply and discharges. /li /ul h3A Day in the Life /h3 ul liLiaise with regulators and external stakeholders (water utilities, environmental agencies, health department, construction contractors, etc.). /li liLiaise with internal stakeholders (Design Engineering, Environmental, Legal, Procurement, Construction, Real Estate, etc.). /li liLeverage project‑management tools and techniques for all phases of the project lifecycle. /li liRegularly report to senior leadership on status of key project metrics versus commitment. /li liEnsure construction standards are followed and national construction regulations complied with. /li liCreate detailed planning packs to build scalable and future‑proof water infrastructure. /li /ul h3About the Team /h3 pWe are a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply‑chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. Our culture embraces curiosity and connection, offers mentorship, and supports continuous innovation. /p h3Basic Qualifications /h3 ul liBachelor’s degree in Engineering. /li liFurther education favorable. /li li10+ years’ demonstrable work experience delivering water‑design infrastructure and engineering solutions for capital‑intensive projects across diversified industries. /li liLanguage fluency in French, German, Spanish highly regarded; Business English mandatory. /li li5+ years managing end‑to‑end project scope, business case and infrastructure requirements, developing contract and drafting documentation, request for proposals, and capital requests. /li li3+ years demonstrated experience with analytical and commercial skill set to review utility tariffs, water projects and contracts. /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul li7+ years of direct experience with the construction, operation, or maintenance of water infrastructure across different global regions. /li liAdvanced degree in Civil Engineering/Mechanical/Chemical/Environmental/Economics. /li liExperience with fast‑track design/build projects and/or multiple significant upgrade projects and ability to work with multiple stakeholders with varied requirements. /li liAnalytical mindset that can identify gaps in requirements during project development, predict performance, and provide recommendations on short notice. /li liBusiness experience in Europe, LATAM and/or Middle East. /li li5+ demonstrated years in program management, risk mitigation and reporting status reviews to management and internal customers. /li /ul h3Equal Opportunity Statement /h3 pAmazon is an equal‑opportunity employer.
