MECHANICAL ENGINEER – ABOUT THE ROLE
We design and deliver innovative mechanical solutions for ground and space-based optical applications. We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to support our team in designing, developing, and testing mechanical components. The ideal candidate is a lateral thinker with passion for opto-mechanics and astronomy. This is an excellent opportunity to learn and grow in a dynamic environment, working closely with experienced engineers in mechanical, optical, electronic, and manufacturing areas.
WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO
Assist in preparing manufacturing drawings and bill of materials;
Support integration procedures and documentation;
Help with structural analysis under supervision;
Participate in technical meetings with customers and suppliers;
Contribute to structural and thermal test activities;
Prepare basic reports and documentation.
YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS FOR A JUNIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER
At least 2 years of exeperience in high-tech companies;
University degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent);
Basic knowledge of CAD software (SolidWorks preferred);
Familiarity with engineering drawing standards;
Good problem-solving attitude and willingness to learn;
Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively;
Basic English language skills (read and spoken).
THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE
Internship or academic project experience in mechanical design;
Knowledge of structural or thermal analysis tools (Femap, Nastran, Ansys);
Understanding of manufacturing processes and materials;
Knowledge of opto-mechanics and astronomy.
