As part of our continued development, we are seeking a qualified and motivated Science Teacher to join our Middle and High School teams across one or more of our campuses.
Role Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective Science lessons to middle and high school students in English, in line with the Cambridge Lower Secondary and Cambridge Upper Secondary / IGCSE curricula. Candidates must be English Mother Tongue or fully bilingual, with the ability to teach confidently and accurately through English. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable educator who is passionate about science education and keen to contribute to a collaborative and international school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons (Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics, depending on experience) in accordance with the Cambridge Lower Secondary and Cambridge Upper Secondary / IGCSE curricula.
- Foster students' scientific thinking, inquiry skills, and subject knowledge through practical, engaging, and well-structured lessons.
- Support students in developing academic language and subject-specific terminology in English through inclusive and differentiated teaching strategies.
- Collaborate with bilingual and Italian-speaking colleagues to ensure curriculum continuity and coherence across year groups and campuses.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress using formative and summative assessment practices aligned with Cambridge expectations.
- Contribute to curriculum development, departmental planning, and the wider academic life of the school.
- Participate actively in school life, including meetings, professional development, events, and communication with parents.
