Mechanical Colocation Regional Engineer, Colo Regional Engineering AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. As a Colo Regional Engineer, you will drive mechanical and electrical engineering services, construction and implementation of enterprise data centers that meet quality and performance levels worldwide. You will work directly with our Design Engineering Stakeholders, Construction, Operations, and Commissioning teams regionally and globally, leading projects to fit out data centers to meet evolving customer needs as we continue expanding our fleet to hyper‑scale.
The Colo Regional Engineer is the engineering representative on behalf of the Data Center Field Engineering Team responsible for the successful delivery of projects. In this role, you will assist in data center site selection, planning and development, evaluating different mechanical and electrical systems and making data‑driven decisions about suitable solutions based on our guidelines.
Key job responsibilities
- Work with colo vendors to review the design for new data centers in your reg
