Job Summary
The Senior Compliance Investigator plays a critical role in supporting the integrity and ethical standards of the business by leading complex investigations across multiple regions into potential violations of law, regulation, the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, and Hitachi Rail policies. The role requires experience in corporate investigations, cross‑cultural skills, integrity, discretion, and sound judgment.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Global Head of Investigations in executing the company’s whistleblowing and investigations program.
Conduct global investigations and manage accurate case management.
Ensure investigations are conducted in compliance with laws, regulations and internal policies and protocols.
Manage the end‑to‑end investigation process, including intake reviews, issue triage, investigative strategy, investigation plans, interviews, documentation and evidence review (including forensics when required), and drafting detailed investigative reports.
Maintain confidential case management protocols, including records of investigations and outcomes.
Own investigation documentation and update the case management tool and registry, ensuring all files are accurate and updated regularly.
Present findings to management or key stakeholders when requested.
Collaborate with Legal, HR, Internal Audit and other functions to propose corrective action plans.
Support continuous process and data improvement and trend analysis, including templates and tools.
Lead and support training, communications and awareness campaigns to promote a speak‑up culture.
Understand applicable regulatory and legal requirements related to whistleblowing and investigations and monitor relevant changes.
Mentor junior investigators and contribute to team development and a culture of continuous learning.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Law, Business, Ethics, Compliance, or a related field.
At least 7+ years of experience in compliance, legal, audit or related roles with prior investigative experience.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously under tight timelines.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving and critical thinking skills with business and financial acumen.
Organized, reliable and discreet with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to influence and operate within a cross‑cultural context; team player, culturally aware and curious.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with case management tools a plus.
Data analytics skills are a plus.
Fluency in English required; additional languages a plus.
Alla posizione si applica il vigente CCNL per l’industria metalmeccanica privata e l’installazione di impianti, con inquadramento nel livello B3 (impiegato direttivo).
Retribuzione annua lorda compresa tra 40.000 € e 48.000 €.
