Summary:
The Global Key User for SAP DIS, will be a functional process lead and liaison between business needs, SAP and 3rd party Transportation Management System functionalities, leading and supporting Direct Import Service (DIS) processes, systems, and training across the global organization. The Key User is responsible for supporting the end users, defining end user documentation, providing end user training, monitoring data accuracies, identifying process improvements, performing testing, and actively participating in implementation projects.
Primary responsibilities:
1. Key User is the “go to” person for the end users in fielding day to day business process issues and questions. The Key User is responsible for gathering all information pertaining to the issue, initiate troubleshooting and resolution, and if required, escalation and logging of the issue with IT. The Key User works closely with the Business Analyst to test and approve a solution.
2. Develop and maintain Business Process Procedures (BPP) and document process flows to support the defined inventory controls for all materials. The documentation will be used in training end users on the processes of dispatch/logistics and warehousing operations.
3. Responsible for providing and ensuring the end users are trained and appropriately practicing the defined processes.
4. Accountable for making sure data is being maintained accurately by end users. Monitor data accuracy and provide guidance to end users to correct data inaccuracies.
5. Identify, document, and communicate process improvements to the SCM Management. Upon approval from the SCM management, initiate an Enhancement Justification Sheet (EJS) for application enhancements, communicate and educate global alignment.
6. Responsible for testing of issues, validating results, testing application changes, and participating in regression and integration testing.
7. Being an active team member of rollout projects and other Key User teamwork initiatives.
8. Conducting audits to ensure adherence to documented processes
9. Support Supply Chain Management (SCM) Control Tower leaders (Planning Mgr., Material Mgr., SCM Site Mgrs.) in process standardization, definition, documentation and deployment. Tracking of the process performance and local adoption.
10. Support sites with creation of technical instruments and process support
11. Increase process automation with technical software solutions
12. Lead the SCM analytical/BI function
13. Participate to supply chain projects as data and analytical owner. Contribute to the project execution with data-driven evaluations, reports, automations and summaries.
14. Contribute to issue identification and resolution with the other SCM control-tower functions.
SAP & TMS DIS Expertise:
15. Support SAP DIS module & TMS implementations and upgrades.
16. Work with IT DIS business analysts to configure and maintain the SAP DIS system to meet business requirements
17. Work with TMS providers to configure and maintain the TMS system(s) to meet business requirements.
18. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to DIS & TMS functionalities.
19. Lead end-to-end SAP DIS & TMS implementation projects.
20. Develop and deliver training sessions for end-users on SAP DIS & TMS functionalities.
Business Process Expertise:
21. Deep understanding of DIS/Logistics processes.
22. Represent PHD business unit in SAP projects, providing insights and requirements.
23. Collaborate with business process owners and stakeholders to understand their needs and current processes.
24. Analyze current processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
25. Participate in "To-Be" process design, translating business needs into functional solutions.
Communication and Collaboration:
26. Act as a point of contact for business users regarding SAP DIS & TMS functionalities.
27. Communicate business requirements and functional specifications to the IT team.
28. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., SD, PP, MM/WM, FI/CO, TMS provider, TMS integration partner) to ensure seamless integration.
29. Participate in workshops and meetings with stakeholders to gather information and build consensus.
30. Improve communication methods across the division with data driven processes
Documentation, Reporting and SCM Analytics:
31. Document system configurations, business processes, and user manuals.
32. Create and maintain training materials.
33. Generate reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
34. Own the analytical function within the SCM Group
35. Innovate analysis methodologies introducing statistical control of data for prescriptive analytics
36. Design new reporting to effectively communicate and control the SC measures
37. Work with the innovation function to extend usage of Power BI and dynamic reporting
38. Conceptualize and develop with IT department a supply chain data repository to amplify the analytical capabilities
39. Collect, organize, and interpret large data sets to identify current operational competencies and areas for development.
Global Support and Problem Solving:
40. Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for international SAP key users.
41. Identify and propose solutions for system improvements.
42. Oversee programming requirements for upgrades or new module implementations.
43. Participate in global SAP rollouts.
44. Provide organizational change management support.
45. Proactively identify, conceive, and execute projects via research, data analysis and/or observation.
46. Advocate Lean and Continuous Improvement principles by participating and facilitating problem solving, Kaizen, and other related tools to support ongoing continuous improvements
47. Optimization, Data/Statistical Analysis, Process Automation
SCM Tools and Systems:
48. Support definition and deployment of planning tools
49. Own maintenance and management of the SCM planning systems, analytics, support tools and their regular refresh
50. Support introduction of new technological solutions within the supply chain and drive the digitalization activities within the team
51. Own development activities of SCM software and their support (Power Apps, Power BI, Ms Access, Data storage…)
52. Execute application design and developments to standardize, improve, or redesign processes to meet business needs
53. Work with cross functional teams to ensure the development of an efficient and scalable end-to-end process
Data Migration:
54. Provide functional documentation and input to data mapping sessions.
55. Assist in the data load validation.
Processes Involved:
56. Master data supporting all DIS processes.
57. Master data and configuration in the TMS system(s)
PROFILE AND EDUCATION
58. Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent from a four-year college; five years or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
59. At least 5 years’ experience in supply chain management/ material and warehouse management roles
60. APICS or other SCM certification is a plus
61. High level functional knowledge of SAP ERP DIS modules
62. High level functional knowledge of integrated and interfaced SAP ERP and TMS applications
63. Ability and experience to lead and effectively drive teams
64. Ability to Write Documentation/ Standard Work/Processes and implement.
65. Ability to Teach/Train Others

Education and/or Experience:

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual needs to have knowledge of SAP systems with the use of inventory management, warehouse management, and handling unit management interfacing with a shop floor control (MES) systems, and other related corporate systems (reporting tools). Additionally, they should have knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel with proficient use. Oracle database and application base technical knowledge is beneficial.
