We are looking for a PVDC Researcher Position overview: The Scientist is responsible for leading research and innovation projects and supporting plant manufacturing requests that support product development for Syensqo Specialty Polymers for high growth markets. Performance objectives: - Demonstrating strong technical depth in material science (physico-chemistry) to ensure the product development activities are technically rigorous and additionally in the area of radical polymerization of vinyl monomers. An experience in polymers processing or in organic chemistry activities is a plus. - Assisting in the review and monitoring of patent/scientific literature relevant to our products/technology. Bring innovative idea and point of view to enlarge tuning of our portfolio products -Leading in the scale-up of recipes from research to commercial scale working in close collaboration with Process Technology, HSE and Manufacturing Functions. ? Providing technical support to improve the current products and technologies in close collaboration with Process Technology and Manufacturing Functions. ? Demonstrating Project Management skills ? Working with Sales/Marketing/Customer Technical Development, Customers, and Suppliers to support the development of new products. ? Providing technical support to on-going plant operations and help for problem solving Added value for the candidate: ? Opportunity to develop new products in the field of specialty polymers in applications with challenging performance is required ? Possibility to interact with different background scientific person to enlarge and develop our polymer portfolio ? The candidates will bring other scientific knowledge to continue to develop new product by taking always innovative and challenging routes Qualifications and requirements: ? Ph.D. in Material Science preferably in Polymer Chemistry or related fields. Additional background in organic chemistry or polymer processing is a plus. ? Experience in the development of Materials for advanced applications as in high barrier materials or high performance packaging ? 0-3 years experience Desired skills: ? Technical depth in the fields of material sciences ( physics and chemistry), in polymer chemistry or processing or organic chemistry ?
