Our client, a leading data center operator, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Manager to join their Finance team. This role plays a vital part in managing operational and administrative costs, serving as the interface between finance, technical teams, and external vendors.
The successful candidate will have experience in procurement, cost management, and contract administration, with strong organizational and communication skills. While experience in the data center or digital infrastructure sector is a plus, the most critical element of the role is power and utility procurement, ensuring cost efficiency and timely delivery of resources.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the central liaison between Finance, technical operations, and external suppliers to ensure smooth procurement processes.
* Manage the end-to-end procurement cycle, including RFP preparation, vendor selection, purchase order issuance, and delivery tracking.
* Oversee power and utility procurement, negotiating contracts with consultants and suppliers to secure favorable terms.
* Monitor and report operational and administrative costs, ensuring alignment with budgets and compliance with company policies.
* Validate and process invoices, resolve discrepancies, and manage credits/returns as required.
* Maintain vendor records and contract compliance documentation.
* Prepare detailed reports on cost analysis, procurement performance, and budget tracking for the Finance team.
Skills & Qualifications
* Proven experience in finance, administration, or procurement, preferably in an operational or utilities-focused role.
* Strong understanding of contract management and cost control processes.
* Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word); experience with ERP systems such as Oracle Netsuite is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage both internal stakeholders and vendors.
* Highly organized, with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and deliver under tight timelines.
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related discipline preferred.
