Ph3Job Description /h3 pThe Controls Lead Engineer manages all engineering activities of a project related to Controls Hardware and Software in order to ensure that relevant deliverables are in time, scope, quality and budget and adhere to established standards. The Controls Lead Engineer estimates and manages controls engineering-related project risks, owns the related planning and scheduling, and acts as the point of contact for controls engineering. The Controls Lead Engineer functionally reports to the Project Manager in the respective projects or, if appointed, to a Project Lead Engineer. In addition, the role will be involved in the full cycle of the project from sales through engineering up to hand over. /p h3What We Offer /h3 ul liCareer Development /li liCompetitive Compensation and Benefits /li liPay Transparency /li liGlobal Opportunities /li /ul h3Tasks and Qualifications /h3 h3General Responsibilities /h3 ul liIdentify improvements to engineering process and preparing supporting documentation. /li /ul h3Project Readiness /h3 ul liSupport Sales team during sales phase by providing technical advice, supporting estimation effort, project schedule creation and understanding of required engineering skill set. /li liReview As sold solution. /li /ul h3Project Management /h3 ul liEnsure that we have resources from Controls Engineering Team with the right skill set in order to execute the project. /li liAct as main Controls Engineering point of contact for Project Manager, Site manager, Procurement, Manufacturing, as well as client architect, builder, and design consultants. /li liLead project Controls Engineering teams through task allocation and reporting. /li liCreate and update Controls Engineering project status reports, financial forecasts and schedule updates (resource updates); ensuring Controls Engineering cost control. /li liDocument, escalates, and manages Controls Engineering project risks (also preparation of Project Status Report / Project Variation Request). /li liEnsure all project Quality Gates are met for Controls Engineering. /li liConduct regular on-site safety audits when visiting a site; deriving actions. /li liIdentify and propose Lean improvements. /li liSupport lessons learned sessions and project closing. /li /ul h3On time, in quality delivery of key deliverables /h3 ul liEnsure that BOMs for Controls Engineering hardware have been done and ordered. /li liEnsure procurement of parts, manufacturing of cabinets, and tender for electrical installation are executed with accordance to the timeline. /li liCheck and approve specifications for purchase items/services. /li liEnsure quality of all necessary documentation to execute installation on site (i.e., schematic drawings) has been provided on time. /li liManage Completion of Design Risk Assessment and Safety design validation during controls design stage. /li liClarify as early as possible definitions on electrical design that impact customer (TNS or TNCS earthing of power supply locations, etc.). /li liEnsure that checklist for the installation has been done and site is ready for commissioning. /li liEnsure delivery of emulated PLC programs and device configurations to Pre-commissioning team. /li liEnsure commissioning plan checklists/test creation and provide the update on the progress. /li liTransmitting layout, network and schematic drawings to Emulation model building team and Electrical Installation. /li liEnsure correct transmittal of all Controls Engineering Deliverables to the Customer (i.e., layout drawings, network and schematic drawings). /li liSupport/assist with preparation of Functional Description Specifications. /li liCreate Description Of Operation, align with technical team and obtain customer approval. /li liEnsure the right technical information has been provided for the Customer Service training. /li liEnsure project technical documentation is completed, including operator manuals. /li liEnsure that Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP) as well as risk assessments for the systems and products have been conducted. /li /ul h3Qualifications and Requirements /h3 h3Essential /h3 ul liWorking knowledge of PLC systems (Siemens – S7, TIA Portal). /li li5+ years hands‑on experience within an industrial automation environment. /li liExperience leading project teams on complex projects. /li liGood understanding of project planning, execution, and handover processes. /li liAbility to read and interpret technical manuals and Mechanical/Electrical drawings. /li /ul h3Desirable /h3 ul liUnderstanding / Qualification in Machinery Safety. /li liExperience in a similar role. /li liWorking knowledge of ISO standards governing the automated warehouse industry. /li liDegree in Engineering (or equivalent technical education). /li /ul h3Other /h3 ul liWillingness to travel approx. 50% across EMEA (depending on project phase). /li /ul h3Personal Attributes /h3 ul liGood communication and English skills. /li liOrganisational and Quality Orientation. /li liEffective and team oriented working style. /li liBeing proactive. /li /ul h3Other Skills Abilities /h3 ul liUnderstanding of MS Project, JIRA, and other project management tools. /li liAbility to make design decisions on a project. /li liUnderstand and use relevant design requirements such as the Machinery Directive and its harmonised standards. /li liDemonstrates a high passion and drive. /li liAmbitious and willing to go the extra mile. /li liTakes responsibility. /li liDemonstrates courage. /li liPromotes change. /li liLearns quickly. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
