Maxi Sport Spa is seeking a Junior Buyer.
The candidate will manage purchasing and reordering for the sportswear department (performance area), ensuring the right balance between product assortment and sales results.
Main Responsibilities
- Building the seasonal assortment (models, colors, purchase depth)
- Defining purchase quantities for season
- Managing reorders during the season
- Sales and SKU performance analysis
- Monitoring sell-through, stock rotations, and margins
- Collaborating with the sales director for brand negotiations
- Coordinating with the sports style buyer to ensure overall product balance
Requirements
Good understanding of sportswear
Ability to build balanced assortments
Understanding the difference between ongoing (performance) and seasonal (lifestyle) products
1–2 years of experience in roles such as:
o Merchandise Planner
o Category Analyst
o E-commerce Merchandiser
Analysis approach
o Strong sales analysis skills
o Understanding of retail KPIs (sell-through, stock rotation, purchase depth)
Advanced Excel:
o Pivot table
o XLOOKUP / VLOOKUP
o SUMIFS
o Sales dataset management
Business intelligence - data dashboard (e.g., QlikView).
Good knowledge of English (minimum B2 level)
Strong analytical skills and problem-solving aptitude
Soft skills:
- Analytical and data-driven approach
- Pragmatism and quick decision-making
- Ability to work with KPIs and numbers
- Interest in the world of sports and sportswear
- Ability to coordinate with various company functions.
