Working in a multi-disciplinary and fast-paced team, you will engage in all aspects of vehicle simulations, from simplified concept longitudinal simulations, to co-simulation to evaluate lateral dynamics with control software in the loop.
Responsibilities
·Collaborate with international customers in the high-performance vehicles segment to achieve their targets and project scopes.
·Specification and development of vehicle plant models to fulfil system requirements.
·Developing the above defined vehicle/system models in MATLAB/Simulink.
·Perform and critically evaluate simulations to estimate the vehicle performance in various missions.
·Working closely with the internal software team to validate developed control logics.
·Managing model and code quality for traceability with version control tools (Git).
·Supporting MiL/SiL/HiL and PiL testing to project requirements.
·Develop simulation automation toolchains.
·Flexibility to accommodate project changes and achieve milestones.
Essential skills
·Solid background in automotive systems, ideally both powertrain and chassis areas. Alternatively, a background in mechatronics systems is also acceptable.
·Experience, understanding and intuition about the physics of electrical, thermodynamic and mechanical systems.
·Model development and data analysis in MATLAB/Simulink.
·Inquisitive and logic thinking, always asking yourself “why” when encountering problems to correctly track down the root cause of the issue and permanently solve it.
·Strong communication and teamwork skills
·Good English language knowledge, both written and spoken, is essential.
Desired skills
·Knowledge of Python programming language is a plus.
·Experience with Vehicle Dynamics simulation toolchains, for example VI-Grade simulation suite (preferred) or Adams/Car.
·Basic experience with 1D powertrain simulation software as GT-Suite is a plus.
·Basic experience with GNU/Linux operating system and its tools is a plus.
·Capability of delivering and maintaining high-quality code and models.
Qualifications
Ideally more than 1 year of working experience with vehicle modelling and simulation. Experience in relevant university student’s teams can be considered (Formula Student, Moto Student, etc)
Master's Degree or PhD in relevant Engineering Subject.
