Vert Environmental in Fullerton is seeking a Director of Operations ready to step into a high-impact leadership role with hands-on involvement and long-term growth potential.
This position is ideal for someone who is prepared to grow into upper-level operational leadership while mastering the day-to-day operations. You will start by immersing yourself in our core systems, including high-volume inbound and outbound calls, scheduling, and routing. This foundation is essential for effectively leading, managing, and optimizing the broader operations team.
As you develop, your responsibilities will include cross-departmental coordination, team oversight, process improvement, and strategic decision-making. You will help enhance efficiency, support team development, and contribute to scaling the company across markets.

Responsibilities:
* Interact with all relevant departments
* Cross-train employees to facilitate functional redundancies
* Help improve and coordinate departmental activities
* Assist in scheduling, duties, and roles, maintaining a high-functioning office, Monday-Saturday schedule
* Manage a fast-paced office, explain tasks, and provide project direction
* Support scheduling projects, technicians, and report writers
* Contribute to the development of Vert Systems processing software
Qualifications:
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Quick learner of company databases, project management platforms, and third-party software
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail
* Experience in team training, review, and feedback
* Skilled in managing a fast-paced office and delegating tasks
* Leadership experience across multiple departments
* Highly detail-oriented with fast typing and accurate data entry
* Bachelor’s degree preferred
* At least 2 years of experience in system operations and workflows
* Familiarity with software applications and API communication
Compensation: $100,000 - $139,000 DOE
