As necessary, they investigate the root causes of problems, develop and implement corrective and prompt actions. /p pThe goal of quality engineers is to maintain the production process as efficiently and effectively as possible while still ensuring that the finished products are safe, dependable, and satisfy customer expectations. They design quality tests, develop the documentation, and test procedures, keep track of quality standards, and specify the requirements that a test result must satisfy.
