Your role as Site HR Manager;
In this position, you will report directly to the EMEA HR Director, based in France, with a dotted line to the Plant Director. The site employs approximately 100 people, about 60 in manufacturing and 40 in back-office functions such as QA/RA, R&D, Sales, Marketing, and Finance. Together with one direct report, you will oversee all strategic and operational HR activities at the site.
As HR Manager, you will act as a trusted partner to site leadership, driving HR and organizational strategies that strengthen the business and support change initiatives. You will ensure compliance with Italian labour laws and Morgan’s global standards while overseeing all key HR functions, including recruitment, compensation and benefits, training, payment and development.
This is an on-site position, with remote work possible only occasionally. As Morgan Advanced Materials is an international organization, fluent English and Italian language skills are mandatory as well as experience with Unions and Works Council negotiations in a manufacturing and/or industrial environment. You will also collaborate closely with the EMEA HR team to align local initiatives with regional objectives.

What you need to do: 
• Acting as the primary HR contact for the site (approx. 100 employees);
• Implementing People & Organization plans to support business needs, drive cultural change, and strengthen organizational effectiveness;
• Managing all HR operations, including recruitment, talent management, employee engagement, reward & recognition, administration, contracts, and payroll;
• Advising and coaching managers on HR matters, ensuring they apply policies, procedures, and collective agreements in practice;
• Designing, implementing, and monitoring training & development programs to address skill gaps and build capabilities;
• Developing and implementing competitive, cost-effective remuneration and recognition plans to attract, retain, and engage talent;
• Overseeing labor relations, including union negotiations and works council meetings;
• Driving HR key performance indicators (KPIs) and tracking progress to align with company objectives;
• Maintaining a strong HR presence at both operational and strategic levels, collaborating with site managers to address challenges and seize opportunities.
Qualifications
What you need to bring:
• Prior experience as HR manager/ HRBP in industrial/manufacturing environments;
• Experience in the full-spectrum HR operations: recruitment, talent development, reward policies, HR administration and payroll;
• Experience with designing and implementing HR strategy;
• Experience with managing labor relations in Italy, including unions, works councils, and collective bargaining agreements; 
• Fluent Italian and English language skills;
• Experienced in multinational, matrix organization is a plus;
• Agile, adaptable, and proactive in managing priorities and driving organizational change;
• High level of organization, enthusiasm, team spirit, and empathy with strong interpersonal and cultural sensitivity;
• Hands-on project leader with clear prioritization and an organized, enthusiastic approach;
• Strong leadership and people management skills with empathy, teamwork, and cultural sensitivity;
• Able to be in the office every day.
