Our client, a worldwide manufacturer and distributor of compressed air solutions, is seeking a Procurement Manager for its headquarters in Milan.
He / she
will select, manage, and coordinate suppliers to meet company goals regarding quality, delivery, and cost. He / she will also implement accurate evaluation processes for supplier proposals and strategic competition approaches.
Responsibilities
* Develop a qualified mix of Best Cost Countries and Local / Regional supply base to support current and anticipated material requirements, including for New Products and existing Product Portfolio.
* Support sourcing activities related to procurement of goods and/or materials, including source selection, price/lead time benchmarking, and negotiation.
* Collaborate across the company in New Product Development, Innovation to Value (I2V), and Price Productivity projects to meet critical deadlines for new product launches within cost targets.
* Identify cost reduction opportunities by negotiating with current suppliers and exploring source change options, aligned with corporate goals and guidelines.
* Work with Category Teams and key Plant Functions to ensure a seamless process for introducing new suppliers and managing existing ones.
* Match new purchase parts with best-in-class suppliers considering lead time and cost to support production timelines and goals.
* Engage in negotiations with suppliers to support corporate goals related to net working capital.
* Support reporting activities by analyzing price differences for purchased parts regularly.
* Perform other responsibilities as assigned or required.
Your Profile
Basic Qualifications
* BS / BA (or international equivalent) in a technical or business major.
* 10+ years of experience in a buyer role, preferably in the industrial sector.
* Technical background preferred.
* Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Travel & Work Arrangements / Requirements
