About the Job
We are looking for a highly skilled Automation & Commissioning Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical services and support to our customers, ensuring all issues are dealt with effectively and satisfactorily.
This is an exciting opportunity to increase your knowledge and gain experience in automation electronics and mechanics by performing services at our clients' sites.
Responsibilities
* Define automation solutions based on PLC, SCADA, industrial networks in virtual environments, with high levels of integration and data exchange with databases.
* Responsible for part of an automation project in technical aspects, as directed by the Automation Team Leader or Automation Manager.
* Overall project responsibility for automation & electrical (low voltage panels) design.
* Develop software for Siemens PLC & InTouch HMI, starting with individual units and scaling up to large plants.
* Ensure project quality through proper FAT tests and validation protocols.
* Design and review all technical documentation, including automation architecture, IP lists, electrical diagrams, instrumentation, and operator manuals.
* Build and maintain good customer relations, working proactively with quick analysis, decisions, and actions.
* During commissioning, set up automation, electrical, and instrumentation systems, and troubleshoot as needed.
* Project duration can range from a few weeks to several months, typically no more than five weeks at a time.
* Collaborate within the market area and across multiple countries.
* Adhere to all safety regulations and promote a safe working culture.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree or higher in automation or electrical engineering.
* Proficiency in English and Italian, both verbal and written.
* At least 4 years of proven experience in similar roles with practical skills.
* Genuine interest in technology and customer service, with a focus on quality.
* Willingness to travel worldwide 50% of the time.
* Programming skills in Siemens TIA Portal are required.
* Experience with Step7 RsLogix 500 and HMI is valued.
* Knowledge of food processing technology, including liquid behavior, temperature, and pressure, is a plus.
