Based in Florence, you will primarily work on projects within Italy, while also providing remote support to international customers when required.
The Role
As a Software Engineer, you design, develop, and maintain reliable software solutions used in complex healthcare environments, where quality, performance, and stability matter.
What You’ll Do
* Design and develop new features and modules for healthcare software solutions
* Maintain and improve existing applications with a strong focus on quality and performance
* Design, code, debug, test, and deliver clean, maintainable software
* Build reusable components to improve long‑term consistency and scalability
* Collaborate on technical documentation and knowledge sharing
* Work closely with Italian customers and stakeholders
* Provide remote support to international projects and Ascom sites when required
* Develop integrations with hospital and clinical IT systems
What We’re Looking For
* Solid experience with Microsoft C# and ASP.NET Core
* Strong hands‑on experience building and consuming REST and SOAP APIs
* Experience working with distributed systems and system integrations
* Understanding of software quality, performance, and maintainability principles
* Ability to work across the full development lifecycle (design → delivery → support)
* Comfortable collaborating with customers and cross‑functional teams
* Experience in healthcare, medical, or highly regulated environments is a plus
