Logistics Specialist- People with Disability (PWD)
Amazon Data Services Italy S.R.L. offers this role as a Logistics Specialist responsible for monitoring inventory levels to support build and repair activities across AWS data centers.
Logistics Specialists receive parts, maintain inventory, check-out parts to Data Center Technicians and Engineers, load and unload shipments, and transport parts between locations. The position requires frequent lifting and precise record keeping for all commodities entering and leaving the company.
Key responsibilities:
Reviewing Data Center inventory, inbound shipments, and ongoing demand to maintain adequate stock levels.
Creating plans with the Logistics Manager to optimize the flow of parts throughout their lifecycle and tracking inventory location, movement, age, and turns.
Collaborating closely with Data Center Operations Technicians and Data Center Engineers to fulfill parts quickly and accurately.
Working with Procurement and Hardware Engineering to purchase new parts and interface directly with vendors to process RMAs and receive replacements.
Data entry and resolving questions from peer organizations.
Maintaining up-to-date metrics dashboards and creating reports for internal and external suppliers and management.
Assembling, addressing, stamping, and arranging for the shipment of merchandise and materials.
Assisting in daily scheduling of deliveries and pick-ups to and from production locations.
Keeping precise records of all commodities going in and out of the company.
Safety
Understanding all aspects of production and adhering to strict safety standards while maintaining high levels of quality.
Physical requirements
Manual handling and lifting of equipment within regulatory weight limits.
Handling incoming shipments, unpacking boxes and verifying contents.
Working in noisy areas with temperature variations beyond standard office conditions.
Basic Qualifications
Experience as a logistics professional supporting inventory cycle counts, shipments, maintenance and stock control functions.
Fluency in English.
Valid European Union driving license.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with logistics equipment such as carts and pallet jacks.
Previous logistics or warehouse experience.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
